What every page has to do

Each page answers one real question. It gives the short answer first, then the details, then the sources. If we don’t know something, we leave it out instead of guessing.

How we check providers

We only list coaches and matchmakers we can confirm are real:

  • We open the provider’s own website and confirm the business exists and serves the city we list it under.
  • We record the date we checked.
  • We never invent a provider, an address, a price, a review, a client or a credential.

The rule for city pages

A city gets its own page only when we have verified 5 real providers, 3 published prices and 1 local source (for example a local news story or a city-specific forum thread). If a city doesn’t meet that bar yet, it stays on the matchmakers and dating coaches by city page with whatever we’ve confirmed so far.

How we handle prices

  • A price counts only if the provider publishes it, or a dated press or review article reports it. We link the exact page.
  • Every price shows the date we checked it. Prices change, so we re-check and update pages when they do.
  • Maya’s own stories, and the friend’s story she shares with permission, are labeled “My experience” or “A friend’s experience.” They are one person’s experience, not public prices and not averages.

What we don’t do

  • No star ratings, scores or “best” badges we made up.
  • No invented testimonials, and no claims that we tried a service we never used.
  • We don’t call any company a scam. We describe what its contract and public terms say.
  • Paying us never buys a better position on a page. (See how we get paid.)

Opinions versus facts

Maya’s opinions sit in boxes marked “Maya’s take.” Everything outside those boxes should be a fact you can check from the linked source.

Videos

We only embed or link videos we’ve confirmed exist, and we don’t describe a video’s content beyond what its title says. When a video comes from a provider, or from a review channel that links to the services it reviews, the caption says so.

Corrections

If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us on the contact page. We fix errors and update the “Updated” date on the page.
