Do national matchmakers count for a city?
Only when their own website says they serve that city. Plenty of firms work nationally, so you’ll see some of the same names in more than one place. Where a firm publishes one price for everywhere, we show that price and say where it came from. The national list lives on matchmaking services near me.
What if you’re not in one of these cities?
Coaching works fine over video, so a dating coach online can help from anywhere. Many matchmakers also search nationally. Or skip ahead and book a free consultation, choosing “Somewhere else” in the form.
What protects you if a contract goes wrong?
Some states give you a short window to cancel a dating service contract. New York’s is in General Business Law § 394-c. Read your contract with the matchmaker contract checklist before you sign.
What changes from city to city?
Mostly the price and the people. Matchmaker prices are often quoted only after an intake call, so check professional matchmaker cost for the ranges we could verify. Reviews vary too. The FTC now has a rule against fake reviews, but read local reviews with care.

Many quote prices only after an intake call. When a price isn't published, we say so rather than guess.
