- It covers online dating service providers and doesn’t say it reaches every in-person matchmaker.
- A provider that doesn’t run criminal background checks must tell Texas members so, in bold capital letters, at least 12-point type.
- A provider that does run them must say what they check and that the checks are “not foolproof.”
- Every covered provider must post dating safety tips. The attorney general enforces the act, with a penalty of up to $250 per Texas member.
